St.Louis Old School Tattoo Expo in November...

Two of our Rosini Tattoo Family members will be tattooing at the St. Louis Old School Tattoo Expo in November. Cherokee Chuck from Chuck's Body Art in Whitwater, WI and Sean Fairbanks from Tattoo Alley in Bozeman, MT will be tattooing at the show. Mr. Rosini & Genn Patrik, Blues Musician

Over the years Mr. Rosini touched many lives, and not all of them were in the tattoo trade. While in Kansas City while tattooing at Grimms on Main St. R.J. met many musicians, with a famous blues bar, the Grand Emporium, right across the street from the shop. One of those musicians is Blues musician Glenn Patrik, you can check out his website at, http://www.glennpatrik.com/ . Izzy does guest spot in Idaho

Izzy LaPlante one of our Rosini Tattoo Family from Yreka, California is doing a Guest Artist Spot at another Family Member, Jeremy Hogan's shop, Falling Moon Tattoo in Moscow, Idaho for a couple of weeks in October. Izzy is the one who brings you the World Famous Tattoos and Blues Convention every year in Santa Rosa, CA at the beautiful Flamingo Hotel. It's a blast every year with tattooing, competitions and Blues music for 3 days. Several of our Rosini Tattoo Family atttends and works every year including; Cherokee Chuck & Chris, Jay Brown, Sean Fairbanks, Bengt Cenatiempo, Big Tad, Jeremy Hogan, and Jered Yarber. 2 Million Motorcycles Documentary Video

Well just found out about this one, Jay Brown one of the owners of the shop was featured in this documentary made about Sturgis in 2007, called 2 Million Motorcycles, 24 hours in Sturgis by Mike Callan. Jay is in a short section at the beginning of the docuumentary and then is showed again at the end, he actually get in the last words. Mr. Rosini, the founder of our shop, is featured in 1 Million Motorcycles, that was made years earlier when he was still alive, filmed by the same person. Also there are several shots in the video of the front of the shop as well, but they don't show the signs, so those of you that know the shop will recognize it. All in all a good film about Sturgis, although it only shows a small part of the whole thing. Snake Yates Original Rosini Gypsy Tour

No year in Sturgis is complete without a visit from our good friend "Uncle" Snake Yates one of the original Rosini Gypsy Tour Members!! Snake worked STurgis on the corner with Mr. Rosini for many years before he retired from tattooing in STurgis. Every year we look forward to our visit with Uncle Snake, it's great to hear all the old stories!! Well Snake we look forward to seeing you next year. Second Generatioon Tattooer in Sturgis

Well it's not often that you get this much real family in Sturgis in our shop unless it's customers, this year it was within the crew. Cherokee Chuck and Chris Shaffer brought their daughter Skye this year to help out at the shop. The cool part about it is Mike powell was able to finish the portrait of Chuck on Skye during the rally this year. Skye is a tattooist at her fathers tattoo shop at home in Wisconsin and grew up around tattooing. Her tattoo reads "My Daddy, My Mentor" . Ufortunatly she was not able to tattoo in South Dakota this year with us cause of the age limit in the law. Skye turned 17 this year in Sturgis. Maybe she'll be tattooing at the rally in a couple of years.

Sturgis 2008 Crew Picture...Upcoming Pics....

Well folks here is the picture of the crew in Sturgis this year taken by our good friend Rodent! This year we had the picture done in daylight so it should turn out great!! Also I will be adding several more pictures from the rally this year. Sorry I was unable to get pictures during the rally up but do to computer problems I was unable. So you can look forward to seeing a lot more of the fun and a good bit of the tattoos done during the rally this year, Just waiting on some more pictures from the guys!! Also the Smithsonian Channels special on Sturgis that they did last year, and our shop is in it, is supposed to air by the end of august, or rumor has it. Also keep your eyes open cause in '09 the Discovery Channel will be airing a special on Sturgis, and they came in and filmed in our shop and did an interview!!! Off and Running!!! Rally 2008

Well folks the shop is open and the Rally for 2008 is off and running. We still have a few days to the official start of the Rally on Monday but people are starting to roll in and bikes are beginning to line the street. The shop has been open for a few days and our artists are making the ink flow!! Be sure to check out this years artist list a few posts below. We will be open every day from 10am til midnite to appease the rally masses. We will be posting new pictures and blurbs daily and every nite so check back often to see whats happing here down on World Famous Main Street Strurgis for Rally 2008!! 25 YEARS ON MAIN ST. , STURGIS DURING THE RALLY

This Year We Are Celebrating

25 Years on Main St. During the Rally

This year is 25 years for the Rosini Tattoo Family in Sturgis. Mr. R. J. Rosini got it all started when he moved and opened his shop at 1000 Main back in 1983 where it remained the Famous Tattoo Corner for 21 years during the rally till 2004, one year after his death in Feb. 2003. In 2005 we moved to our new location at 1016 Main St. where we operate for 11 days, before and during the rally. Over the years there has been a plethora of tattoo artist that have plied there trade with the Rosini Gypsy Tour at the rally. There has been such greats as: Snake Yates, Greg & Peggy Skibo, Wes Grimm, Bob Montagna, Lyon King, Jay Brown, Mike Powell, Cherokee Chuck, Cliff James, Todd Evans, Rusty Gordon, Rich Cahill, and Shaun WIlmorth to name a few that have worked the famous Main Street Shops. Every year we bring together 11-12 of tattooings best artist to work the rally, check out this years list below, it has links and contact information. We put together a full functioning tattoo studio that is clearly a cut above the rest. In fact most rally goers think we are there all year long. Bringing you a State of the Art, Health Department Approved, enviroment with Autolave Sterilization, our artists can fulfill your tattooing needs.
